Francesca Bidut
She began studying classical guitar and music theory at the age of 11, continuing for six years before giving up the guitar to devote herself to her true passion: singing. From a young age, she was a member of various choirs, performing in Italy and abroad. At age 19, she began performing in musicals with an amateur theater company, where she also took on leading roles, performing in several regional theaters. This led her to take her passion more and more seriously, beginning her studies in modern and classical singing at the Ruda Music School with teacher Ilaria Zanetti, though she soon abandoned the latter to devote herself entirely to modern singing. Meanwhile, she earned a master’s degree in Languages for International Communication, training in the field of education. She continued her artistic journey over the years under the guidance of various teachers, participating in numerous advanced courses, workshops, and master’s programs, including those focused on musical theater. During this period, she became interested in rock and metal music, releasing the album *Until the End of Time* in 2011 as the lead singer of the band Masterforce. The album was nominated by the Canadian magazine *Metal Rules* as the best emerging album of 2011 and also received a positive review in the Italian magazine *Metal Maniac*. She then became the lead singer of the band Silent Opera, signed to the Raven Heart Music Record label, recording the single and music video *Symphony of Time*. These experiences allowed her to gain expertise in studio recording and stage performance. She then developed an interest in different genres, joining other bands and exploring rockabilly, blues, and jazz. She also began working as a vocal coach for singers in the amateur musical theater scene. In 2021, she participated as a substitute singer on an Italian touring theater production with the Anà-thema Teatro company, continuing her collaboration with them both as a singer in several touring shows and as a vocal coach for the company’s theater school in Udine.
In 2015, she began studying opera at the Palmanova Music Academy with Maestro Sikai Lai and later with Maestro Elisabetta Spinelli, and in 2018 she joined the opera singing class at the Jacopo Tomadini Conservatory of Udine, graduating in 2021 under the guidance of Maestro Emanuele Giannino and Maestro Manuela Kriscak, while simultaneously taking courses to specialize in music education with Professor Alessandra Costaperaria, with whom she is working on her thesis, “Content and Language Integrated Learning: An Educational Proposal in the Field of Music. Learning music and the English language with the goal of integrated learning.” She is currently in her final year of a two-year opera singing program at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste, continuing her studies in music pedagogy.
Currently, in addition to her studies, she works as a music theory instructor atthe International Music School in Trieste, and as an instructor of music theory, vocal theory, and modern singing at the AGM Academy in Cervignano del Friuli.
